WARRENTON, VA - Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (BCSSI) has been awarded a seven year $72 million contract, if all options are exercised, by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This competitive win tasks BCSSI, a provider of information technology solutions, with continuing the engineering, administration, and operation of the CMS QualityNet enterprise (QNet). QNet supports the mission of the Medicare and Medicaid Quality Improvement Program, which is to provide continuous improvement in the services offered to Medicare and Medicaid recipients. Specific areas of responsibility include program management, engineering and administration of the QNet nationwide network, video teleconferencing support, functional software testing, research and development, formation and implementation of security standards, systems engineering, and maintenance. Additionally, Buccaneer's new data center, located at the Vint Hill Business Park, serves as the primary system and network facility for QNet.
