Warrenton, VA - In the wake of the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, Warrenton-based Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. challenged the students of "adopted" school C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary to raise $1,000 to benefit those affected by the disaster. If successful, Buccaneer Computer promised to match the school's donation with a $50,000 donation. Buccaneer Computer and C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary are pleased to announce that the challenge was exceeded more than nine times over, as Ritchie students raised $9,025.34 as of September 9th. On that day, Gary Newell and other Buccaneer Computer representatives presented C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary with a large symbolic check pledging the $50,000 donation.
