WARRENTON, VA -- As part of their community partnership program, Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (BCSSI) has continued their support of local educational programs. Over the last month, BCSSI has sponsored three local events that support the local children’s educational community.

For the third straight year BCSSI was a Platinum Sponsor of the Hard Drive for Education, an event that resells used computer equipment to the public at the Warrenton Spring Festival. Proceeds from the sale are put towards improving technology in the Fauquier County public schools. The Hard Drive program is run by the Fauquier Technology Alliance. For the second consecutive year, BCSSI will be a Tournament Sponsor for the Bright Stars Golf tournament. This tournament raises funds for the Fauquier Head Start and Bright Stars Summer Programs, which are important for the continual development of our most vulnerable youngsters--under privilege pre-schoolers.

This year BCSSI will add sponsorship of the Newspapers in Education (NIE) program. NEI is a nationally recognized collaboration between community sponsors, newspapers, and schools that provides students with periodicals packed with news and information relevant to every grade and subject area. This innovative and interesting newspaper provides materials that enhance learning through real-life experiences relevant to students’ daily lives.
