WARRENTON, VA -- As part of their community partnership program, Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (BCSSI) is piloting a new program entitled Adopt A School. The Adopt a School program, which is being sponsored through the Fauquier Technology Alliance, will team Information Technology companies with schools throughout the county. The companies will donate their services to the schools in a variety of technical support areas such as teacher training, special events support, and student activities. At the request of Principal Lee Bell, Buccaneer will be assisting in teacher training and the implementation of the school’s new after-school Technology Club. In the Technology Club the students will gain knowledge of the evolution of technology, how to operate computer programs to create school reports, and will learn how to disassemble and reassemble computer hardware.
