Buccaneer Part of Team Awarded Arkansas Contract
WARRENTON, VA, November 30, 2008 – Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (Buccaneer) is a member of the team, led by QSource, which has been awarded a contract by the Arkansas Department of Human Services (ADHS) Division of Medical Services (DMS) to assist in the evaluation and contract management services for a health management pilot and regional quality initiative (RQI), as well as provide technical support for policy development.
The health management pilot focuses on high-risk pregnant women and infants up to one year of age in Northeast Arkansas. Buccaneer, as a subcontractor to QSource, will provide:
- Analytic technical lead to evaluate the BirthWait program including beneficiary and provider surveys as well as an overall cost-effectiveness. BirthWait is pilot program operated in three rural counties for high risk OB Arkansas Medicaid beneficiaries.
- Data aggregator for HEDIS measures across health care payers including Arkansas Medicaid. Buccaneer will also calculate the initial HEDIS rates for Arkansas Medicaid.
- Data analysis and measure development support for the Medical Director of Health Policy for Arkansas Medicaid.
