Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. recently opened an office in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The office is located at 124 W Capitol, Suite 990 in the heart of downtown Little Rock. The office is a part of the newly created Software Development & Informatics Division which brings new analytic and software development capabilities to Buccaneer. The Little Rock office supports several contracts serving customers such as Arkansas Medicaid, QSource, QSource of Arkansas, Delmarva, Colorado Foundation for Medical Care, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).  The majority of the activities in the Little Rock office are to support the review agent for Arkansas Medicaid, QSource, to retrospectively review therapy services and prior authorization of personal care services provided to Medicaid beneficiaries under the age of 21. Buccaneer provides support and maintenance of the review system and analytic reports. In December 2008, the Medicaid Quality Initiatives contract was awarded to QSource with Buccaneer as a subcontractor. The Buccaneer Little Rock office is responsible for analytic support to the Arkansas Medical Director of Health Policy, evaluation of a high-risk OB Medicaid pilot program, and aggregating HEDIS data from Arkansas Medicaid and commercial health plans.
