Buccaneer staff and guests attended the Easter Seals 2009 Arkansan of the Year event on March 12, 2009. Easter Seals honored Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, as the 2009 Arkansan of the Year. Quarterback Tony Romo, tight end Jason Witten, tailback Felix Jones and the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders accompanied Jerry Jones to the event. Governor Mike Beebe presented the award to Jerry Jones.
Event officials estimated the total raised was an event-record $546,200. Easter Seals' mission is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with special needs have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Easter Seals Arkansas served more than 16,000 people statewide last year. Since 1986, Easter Seals has named an Arkansan of the Year based on the recipient's dedication and service to children and families in Arkansas.
A part of Buccaneer’s corporate culture is to give back to the communities where our staff works. The Buccaneer Little Rock office chose this activity as one of its local events to support.
