Buccaneer Honored by Northrop Grumman
Northrop Grumman Corporation recently honored Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Incorporated (Buccaneer) as one of its top performing suppliers; companies whose technical innovations, quality products and services and outstanding performance significantly benefitted Northrop Grumman and its government and commercial customers. Buccaneer and the other 22 recipients were presented the Supplier Excellence Award in 2008 at the Tysons Corner Ritz-Carlton, McLean, Va., on Oct. 30. All companies were deemed to have met the highest criteria for delivery, quality, cost and schedule management and customer satisfaction.
"Northrop Grumman endeavors to always provide the highest quality products and services to our customers so that they can succeed in their missions. When our suppliers meet or exceed Northrop Grumman's expectations, we can do the same for our customers," said Cynthia Hyland, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector vice president of contracts, pricing and procurement.
Representing Buccaneer at the banquet were Ms. Heather Newell, President, and Mr. Weldon Regan, Senior Vice President. Mr. Regan accepted the award on behalf of Buccaneer and the DISA Support Team. He commented on the importance of trust and honesty in teaming relationships and how both the customers and the companies end up the beneficiaries of good business practices based upon integrity. All in all, it was an elaborate affair filled with fine food and amiable guests amid the ambiance of success and mutual respect. Ms. Newell appreciated Buccaneer’s recognition and in particular “really liked the filet mignon”.
