Buccaneer Part of Winning Team for a Texas Study
Buccaneer, as a subcontractor, was part of the winning team for the Medical Checkup Completeness Study which was awarded in April 2009. For this project, Buccaneer is providing the sampling strategy, creating the data collection tool, gathered all business requirements for the data collection tool including statistical and clinical requirements, and will provide all statistical analysis for the project. The purpose of the project is to 1) determine the percent of checkups in which all of the five federally mandated elements are documented 2) Determine for checkups lacking documentation of one or more of these five elements which of these elements are most commonly missed or not documented 3) assess reasons that checkup elements are most commonly missed or not documented 4) provide statistically valid comparisons among various Medicaid delivery models and the various managed care organizations including primary care case management (PCCM) program and members not enrolled in managed care from all parts of the state.
