1 of 3
WARRENTON, VA, September 7, 2007 – Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (BCSSI) has been awarded a ten year contract with a ceiling of $4 billion dollars by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The competitive win of the CMS Enterprise System Development (ESD) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract allows BCSSI, a provider of information technology solutions, to provide a broad range of IT services in support of the Integrated IT Investment & System Life Cycle Framework for CMS. The framework is a systematic and uniform methodology for information systems development and the CMS Information Technology (IT) Modernization Program and initiatives.

“Obviously, the CMS ESD contract is a huge win for us. It will allow us to increase our support of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. CMS is an extraordinarily important customer of ours and their mission is vital to our country,” commented Heather Newell, President of BCSSI. “We believe this win speaks volumes regarding the quality of work BCSSI does at CMS. Additionally, a very significant portion of the credit for this win has to go to our teammates. We assembled a team that is second to none.”

The BCSSI Team included Perot Systems, Inc. (www.perotsystems.com) and IQ Solutions, LLC (www.iqsolutions.com), as well as Noridian Administrative Services, LLC (www.noridianmedicare.com); LCB Solutions, LLC (www.lcbsolutions.com); Oberon Associates, Inc. (www.oberonassociates.com); Strategic Management Systems, Inc. (www.strategicm.com); eDaptive Systems, Inc. (www.edaptive.com); and Mandaree Enterprise Corporation (www.mandaree.com).

“Perot Systems is pleased to be a part of the winning team led by Buccaneer,” said Jim Ballard, President of Perot Systems Government Services. “The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid have a critical mission and we look forward to providing technical support to help them meet their objectives.”

“Buccaneer and Oberon are natural corporate colleagues,” added Jodi Johnson, Oberon’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “They embrace the same high standards, professionalism, work ethic, and corporate principles as we espouse at Oberon. We’re excited to be part of this winning team. Oberon looks forward to expanding our relationship with Buccaneer and CMS.”

Awards were made in two categories, unrestricted (large business) and restricted (small business and SBA 8(a)). The BCSSI-led team won in the restricted category and BCSSI won as a subcontractor to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in the unrestricted category.
