Buccaneer Wins HCQIS Phase 3 Reports & Analytics Contract with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (Buccaneer) has been awarded the Health Care Quality Improvement System (HCQIS) Ad hoc Reports, Analytics and Data Management contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The contract begins in October 2009 and has one base year plus six option years valued at nearly $30 million dollars.
The HCQIS Reports & Analytics contract, also known as HCQIS Phase 3, provides CMS’s Office of Clinical Standards and Quality (OCSQ) with services on obtaining ad hoc reporting, analytics, and data extraction services to support the Healthcare Quality Information Systems Value Based Purchasing (VBP) and Standard Data Processing System (SDPS) application groups.
Buccaneer will provide analytic report services for the HCQIS Reports and Analytics contract for many CMS customers including CMS Program and Leadership staff, CMS GTLs and Project Officers, Quality Measure Owners, Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs), and programs under CMS oversight including Hospital Reporting and PQRI.
