Buccaneer Computer Earns CMMI Level 2 Certification
WARRENTON, VA - Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. (BCSSI), Product Assurance Group, earned a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) Maturity Level 2 rating. This rating identifies BCSSI as an industry leader for continuous process improvement, delivery of high quality products and services, and consistency of demonstrated exceptional program performance.
The rating was based upon the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute's methodology for a Standard CMMI® Appraisal Method for Process Improvement Appraisal Class A, using the CMMI® Version 1.2 Staged Representation. The appraisal team of four was led by an SEI-Authorized Lead Appraiser, Thomas R. Miller, of T. R. Miller and Associates, LLC. The appraisal team looked at approximately 2,000 individual pieces of corroborating data to cover 6 process areas and 218 practices.
