Gary is a Good Scout!
Each year, the Boy Scouts of America present the “Good Scout” Award to an individual in Fauquier County in recognition of their professional achievements and community service. Buccaneer's COO Gary Newell has been selected as the 2010 Fauquier County “Good Scout” of the Year." Gary was selected because he operates Buccaneer and supports the community, in accordance with the values of the Scout Oath and Law, which he learned through his participation in Scouting as a youth. He is an ideal representative of the Boy Scouts and worthy of the 2010 “Good Scout Award."
A reception and dinner was held in Gary’s honor on June 9, 2010, at the Fauquier Springs Country Club. The Master of Ceremonies was Brian van de Graff, an Eagle Scout and Weatherman for ABC 7 News and the Keynote Speaker was Major Gen. Randall West, USMC (Ret).
